WELCOME BACK EVERYONE!!! A special welcome to our new Primary 1 children, shown below.
IMPORTANT NEWS BREAKFAST CLUB From Monday the 23rd of August St Thomas will host a free breakfast club. It will run from 8.15am to 8.45am in the school hall. The children will be able to have cereal, toast, fruit, yoghurt, milk and juice. As this is a new addition to school life I would ask for you co-operation in ensuring that the children are in school with enough time to eat their breakfast as children will have to leave the hall at 8.45am sharp to allow cleaning to take place and for the school to open at 9.00am as normal. Please be aware that the crossing patroller will still begin her normal duties at 8.30am. As always I will be supervising how the breakfast club is progressing and hope to invite parents in, later in the term to see it in action. PHOTOGRAPHS, INTERNET, SCHOOL WEBSITE/LOCAL VISITS We hold your permission for the above, therefore to keep down the amount of paperwork for yourselves and for us, please contact the office only if you wish to make changes to the instructions that the school already holds. All new parents to the school will receive a permission slip to return to the school office. HEALTH & SAFETY In order to keep your children as safe as possible I would ask you not to use the school car park when dropping off your children at 9.00am and picking them up at 3.20pm. Please note this also includes parents dropping off and picking up children from Nursery. This does not include contract taxis who have to pick up children from the car park. **Please note we will no longer be sending a newsletter every month, we will try to keep the main points to a termly newsletter, which will also be available on the school website. RELAY FOR LIFE SEPTEMBER 2010
The school and Parish have set up a team to take part in this very worthwhile event. We would really like your support, all you have to do is hand into the school any clothes, bags, shoes, small items, toys etc that we can bag up and hand into the Cancer Research Shop. We get an amount for each bag depending on the contents. This money will keep building up until September. Thanking you in advance for your support.
