| Class 7 - Sensation Visit |
Class 7 visited Sensation - During their visit they were to learn about some jobs which involve science and technology.
|
At the first stop they were shown a film which explained
how Forensic Science is used by the police to help identify suspects and victims of
crime. They were told about DNA - DNA is found inside every living thing. It is the recipe for life. DNA contains all the instructions (like a recipe) on how to build and create you. Everybody's DNA is different - like your fingerprints. Scientists can use DNA to help them solve problems. The pupils of class 7 were given the chance to try and solve some crimes for themselves by studying the DNA samples. |

Another stop was in the computer lab. There the children were given the task of using the Internet to search for a scientific job anywhere in the world. |

Then it was time to don the white lab coats and get
instructions on how to solve the next scientific problem. The task was to find where some polluted water had been detected. |
| The samples were brought in and the children tested each one and matched it up on their charts. | ![]() |
