Trip to edinburgh

P6/7

We went on a trip to Edinburgh to watch a play called Whistlestop by some Danish actors.

There was a lot of strange things happening and the script was a little cryptic so we had to watch and think carefully about what took place.

Eventually we realised that it was about a train station type waiting room to the next life, in the form of a wardrobe.

The husband and wife 'angels' had the task of sending the drowned victims (hence the 'wellies' full of water) in the right direction without influencing their choice where to go.

The man holding the wellies had to choose whether to follow his beloved wife or return to life and his waiting son.

He chose his son.

Afterwards we went to the play area of  Queens Terraced Gardens and had our lunch before we let off some steam.

The fresh air was lovely and the castle looked very impressive towering above us.

We felt very content with our day. Some even decided to show their love for nature.

Such heart-felt tree hugging!

Just imagine this in the playground.

How many P6/7's do you think we could fit on?

I'm thinking Jack's beanstalk took him closer to his castle than    this little lady's going to get!

Time to work off our lunch.

We couldn't manage a trip to the zoo so we role played feeding the animals instead!
