Tropical Rainforest World As I entered the door the heat hit my face. It was roasting .The first insect we saw was a stick insect. It tried to camouflage itself in the leaves. The next animal was an orange corn snake. It didnt even hiss. I liked the snake very much but I was too scared to hold it. There was a lot of insects and different animals. It was a great trip. | On Wednesday, the 30th of June we got to go to Tropical Rainforest World. Inside the place it was very hot. I first looked at the Red Eye Terrapins which looked like ornaments because they were so stiff. Afterwards, our guide showed us the scorpions. I felt quite worried as I spotted one trying to climb out. Up in the top of Rainforest World were a few fruit bats hiding. Our guide told us that theyd also let loose two iguanas so I looked out for them. I thought the python and anaconda were going to burst out of the tank that they were in. The only thing I dared to hold was a little snail but it felt really horrible. I touched the orange corn snake and the Cayman which both felt scaly. Our group was not allowed to touch the millipede incase it sprayed yellow stuff on our hands which would not come off for days. By Lucy |

In the Tropical Rainforest we got to run round for five minutes to get used to the roasting heat. Going round, we saw beetles, snakes, snapping turtles, toads and loads of interesting animals. The first thing we saw was the Rhino Beetle. It had a very good grip but when the man took it off me, it scratched me. It felt nice but tight and I think I would hold one again. Next we held the frogs. We had to dip our hand in some water so that the frogs would recognise the smell. I never held the frogs because they looked evil with their red eyes. The snakes they had were beautiful. They had Burmese Pythons and Corn snakes. My group got to hold the corn snakes. It felt really nice because as it moved, you could feel its muscles tightening and slackening. We went round the rainforest and came to the cockroaches. The man said they were Butterflies but I knew they werent, so I didnt hold one. In the same tank, there were giant snails. I held them and it felt hard and weird. I really enjoyed going to the rainforest and would love to go back By Eileen |

| We went to a Tropical Rainforest Centre. It took 2 hours to get there. Inside it was hot and stuffy. The first thing we got to hold was a Rhino Beetle I didnt like the look of it so I didnt hold it. We also got to hold a snake. I held one on my own I could feel the snake moving. Richard got a kiss from the snake. When we were back to the start I eventually held the Rhino Beetle .It felt all prickly. When I was holding it, it was scary probably because it was the biggest male. By Taryn |

We went to the rain forest world. I held the snake, tree frog and many more. My favourite one is the snake and it was very smooth. It was grey and very long and scaly. There also was an orange snake but we never got to hold it. It was kept in a big tank with the grey snake. The heat was humid. I liked the heat at the beginning but after a while it was getting uncomfortable. My group got to hold the millipede. It felt like a brush running along your hand. Its skin felt like rubber and slimy. Some of my group just touched it. By Ashley

In Tropical rainforest World, it was very hot. There were many animals and we were allowed to hold some of them. I touched a crocodile. Its scales were hard on its back and softer on its front and its side. I held a snake. It felt quite nice but it was a little bit sticky. We saw a millipede but we were not allowed to touch it incase it put yellow spray on us. I also held a prickly stick insect. It felt tickly on your hand. I enjoyed it and I would like to go back. | Tropical Rainforest World was humid, and it really looked like the rainforest. I held every animal but the Tree Frog. I liked it. It had a green body and big red eyes with black oval shape it the middle. We had to wet our hands in the water so the frog would go on my hand because of the smell. I got to put it back in its tree. I felt like I wanted to take it home. It was brilliant. I wish I could do it again and forever. I would like to go back again. By Kirsty
